Today we will be learning about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, and peace and justice. The Goals interconnect and in order to leave no one behind, it ís important that we achieve each Goal and target by 2030.
You will not be required to write a journal reflection for this lesson, although The SDGs will be a component that you will be required to include in your project. Before we do some of our own research we are going to watch this video.
Learning Task:
You will now be given some time to read about the different SDGs. As you are reading through each goal, you need to be thinking about which ones connect to poverty (it might be a good idea to create a list).
